Warranty instructions for non warranty repair during the warranty period

Statement of Limited Warranty
Subject to the terms and conditions as stated herein, Petra Mechatronics Middle East (hereafter referred to as “Petra”) warrants its equipment to be free from defects in material and factory workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation/delivery.Â

Terms and Conditions of Limited Warranty
This obligation is limited exclusively to defective original equipment manufactured or supplied by Petra and is subject to the inspection and analysis by Petra as to conclusively identify or confirm the nature and cause of failure.

Liability
Under any circumstances Petra Mechatronics Middle East Trading LLC is not responsible and will not be held liable for losses, injury or damage caused to persons or property by reason of the installation of our products or their failure. In the unlikely event cause by the parts & equipment supplied, installation or any other services & work liability will not exceed, and it’s limited to the value of the equipment sold or service provided by Petra as per the quotation and should fall under the warranty limits.Â

Coverage
Components covered: Limited liability and warranty on all manufacturing defects or craftsmanship.Â
Not covered components: Any damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident (dropping or otherwise shocking the scale) normal wear & tear, or physical damage. Accessories, bowls, trays, finishes, clasps, hinges, feet, Cables, AC adaptors and batteries or any other accessories are not covered by this warranty. Also, any incidental or consequential damage or loss is not covered.Â

Place of Service
Warranty based on ex-work/ex-factory as drop and collect, Equipment owner agrees to drop or send it back to PETRA also collect back and bare all related carriage charges or to pay for service technicians traveling expenses and labors. Â
For warranty service we will need three things from you:Â
1) The equipmentÂ
2) A copy of your original sales receipt or printout of online purchase record.Â
3) The original warranty card that came with the equipmentÂ
Also please make sure that your scale is completely clean and free of any foreign materials.Â

Time of repair / Process
Inspection and simple repair work such as connection can be done usually within 2 working days from receiving the material at our service center, however it still depends on the nature of matter and availability of parts with PetraÂ
For onsite service it can be done according to schedule and booking of our technicians.Â

Conditions Which Void Limited Warranty

When we charge
We shall charge for traveling expenses, labor cost and parts for the below unless it’s been specified otherwise in the notes. Â

Repair or replace
During the applicable warranty period, if we determine that the Product fails to meet its warranty, we will repair the Product, or at our option replace it without charge. If your Product model has been discontinued, it will be replaced with a comparable Product model and according to its age conditions and warranty will be based on the remaining balance of the original product warranty period.Â

Warranty Terms
Warranty will be covered for manufacturing defects and performance of the instruments under the correct conditions. Warranty doesn’t include consumable parts like Battery, adaptor, cables and cosmetic parts like display, brackets, misuse or accidents that have occurred at customer place. Calibration, programming, software and parameter settings will also be not covered under warranty, as these can be gone wrong at any time due to external factors. The faulty part will be replaced free of cost during the period of the warranty. These materials have limited warranty with terms & conditions applied.

Attending Warranty
In-house; attending warranty will be Ex Works (EXW) Dubai-UAE, hence if any problem is there, the scale has to be sent to our Office for checking. For large floor scale we can provide onsite warranty which is located in major UAE cities or unless otherwise agreed by the Vendor.

Weighbridge
The weighbridge will be under warranty for a period of 1 year (extended to 2 years) (12 months) from the date of supply as per the below coverage and exclusion.
